Friday was a fun day around here. Pam and the boys came over and the kids all had fun playing together. We put in "Toy Story" and watched until the attention spans gave up!
Saturday George and I took the kids to Disney. We had a GREAT time. It did rain, but not so much to make it miserable. It was just enough to keep it cool out. Also, I have to tell you all about how many people were being unusually nice to us. As we walked in, a man walked up to us with a double stroller and said, "mam, we were just leaving, do you want our rental stroller?" I was like, are you sure? He said absolutely, so we thanked him, and took it. (it saved us $21). Then, we walked maybe 20 feet and another man came over and asked us if we wanted his fastpasses. He said his family could'nt get to them all and he didn't want them to go to waste. I was like, um....sure, thanks. There were enough tickets for a family of four to go on 2 rides. A couple of hours later, it had started raining, and actually got a little cool. We followed our noses over to a coffee/snack stand, and ordered 2 cups of coffee, and 2 hot chocolates. The disney kid put them in a drink carrier and said "mam, these are on Mickey" I said to him, "what???????" He's like, they are complimetary. At that point, I turned to George and looked at him like ,what is going on? He and I have gone to Disney several times every year since 1997, and not once has anyone given us a thing! Later at dinnertime, we stood in line to see if our favorite restaurant was taking walk ups. We watched as the girl at the kiosk turned away the two families in front of us, so we knew we were going to end up eating $40 worth of hotdogs and soda. Just as the family in front of us walked away, another man opened a diferent line, and motioned us over. He asked for my confirmation number, and I told him we didn't have a reservation. I asked if he could spare a table for 4??? He told us it would be 30mins, then handed us a buzzer/beeper with a wink. I was amazed beyond belief. It was so strange that I commented to George how no one would ever believe the time we had. I was glad he was there to be in on it, and be a witness! We played the lotto on the way home. We never do. I mean, never. It was after 11pm, so the numbers are for wednesdays lotto. I'll keep you all posted. LOL (:
