Sports Banquet and Steak Marinade

SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM FOR RECIPE
The school year is winding down. Oh how I can't wait. We have BIG summer plans this year, but also I'm starting to feel waaaaaaaay too busy. I'll be happy when end of the school year celebrations, dance, and both my children's birthday parties are a wrap so we can get on with relaxing summer.

One big evening was Steven's sports banquet. This year he played basketball and ran track. He's looking forward to next years basketball season, but did NOT enjoy track. His coaches and friends were great, but he's definitively decided that he didn't take after his Mom in the running department. He's not a runner. That's ok with me. He did his best, and finished the season. For the banquet, he was honored with all of his track ribbons, and certificates. But, his favorite bling of the evening was his basketball trophy that will be proudly displayed a few weeks on our mantel at home. There was also a very special JV Boys Basketball Championship Banner reveal in the gym that evening. It's the first ever for the JV Boys team. Now they have something to come back next year and defend.

The big reveal. The boys were beside themselves excited to unveil their banner.

Go Crusaders!

In honor of the big night, I decided to make Steven's favorite steak recipe. It's an easy marinade that imparts delicious flavor to the meat.

1/4 CUP WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE

3 TBLS DRIED BASIL
1 TSP GROUND PEPPER
1 TBLS DRIED PARSLEY FLAKES

Pour marinade over meat. Cover a refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
Cook meat on grill to desired temperature. We prefer medium.
