Visiting Nanny

For the past two weeks, we have had house guests. Mom, Larry, and Tre' have been here, and we have had lots of fun. One of the highlights of their stay was a trip we took to Monkey Joe's. It is alot of fun for the kids, and it wears out their energy. We went on a Thursday after school. Steven told me that he wants to have his birthday party there, so we will see.

We also got a chance to go and have a visit with Nanny. I was so glad to see her. And she of course was happy to see us. The kids made her day. We ran around in her yard playing tag and she sat on the swing and just soaked it all in.

While we were in Wildwood, we got lucky and saw 3 trains. For those of you who don't know, my son is train crazy. He has been since he was 2 years old. We always thought it was a phase, but no.....he loves trains. There is even a documentary series on the Discovery Channel called "Extreme Trains", that is his very favorite show. Maybe one day he will help engineer the train that will travel from NYC to California. Who knows?

Anyhow, here are some photos from our fun times together.

Your hair looks great! I'm with you on the trains. Used to I'd get all breathy when I had to wait for a train to pass...you know what it's like here in Wildwood always train whistles blowing :) Now I get so happy when the train comes and we have to stop for it. The kids beg me to roll the windows down so they can REALLY hear it! It's like comfort food!

You cut your hair!!!! looks good! Maybe it's a boy thing...or just a kid thing. Evan has just started loving trains and I recently bought him a book called I love Trains. he walks around quoting the end "Trains, trains, trains. I love trains". It is so cute!

I just had to comment when i saw your nanas' picture. It absolutely brought tears to my eyes to think back on how much she meant to me as a child.I still keep in the back of my bible,a postcard she sent me when i was in the hospital when she taught our sunday school class. We were maybe 5 or 6 yrs old.I will always hold her in my heart for being there for me when my dad passed away, your whole family for that matter!Tell i love her!
